Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States of America, serving from March 1861 through April 1865, until he was assassinated. He presided over the Civil War and freed the slaves in the US. Despite facing the deaths of his loved ones, and many failures in running for office, Abraham Lincoln has become one of the most important presidents in US history.
