Past and present sports heroes and their contributions in Nigeria.

1. Innocent Egbunike (athletics): In 1983 he made an impression at the summer Universiade games, where he won the gold medal in 200m. His most memorable performance was at the 1987 all African games in Nairobi. Nigeria needs to win the 4*400 relay, the last event of the games, to overhaul Kenya at the top of the medals table.
