Uses of forest resources

1. Forest trees

a. Timber trees: Iroko, opepe, mahogany etc provide the sawmills with the raw material timber which is processed into planks or logs which are exported to other countries and also used in making furniture and other building materials.

b. Industrial products: Gums, dyes, papers, charcoal etc are gotten from forest trees.

c. Clothes: Fibres e.g cotton and silk which are used for making clothes are also gotten from the forest.
