Meaning of Centralised States

Centralised states are states in which power and authority are concentrated as well as emanate from one central authority/government. While there are other regional capitals, the laws and policies all come from one central location. The government usually presides from the capital city, from where it controls other towns and villages in the state. No other body has the power to take any decision or action that may affect the state without the permission of the central government. The government is the final decision maker in the state and has the executive power to make plans and ensure that they are carried out in the state. It also has the legislative power to make laws in the state, the judicial powers to settle disagreements between people, as well as punish those who break the laws of the state.
