CONTENT

Nature of playing volleyball

It is a recreational and competitive game and a scoring game. It is a team game.

It is played by boys, and girls, as well as old and young men and women. Volleyball is played by twelve players, with six players on each side. It is played on a flat field (grass) or hard surface.

Officiating rules

1 No player is allowed to carry, catch, lift or throw the ball.

2 A team is allowed three consecutive touches of the ball before it is returned to the opponent’s side.
