A. Duties and functions of Navy

Here is a list of its most interesting peacetime and wartime duties:

1. To maintain the country’s laws within territorial and internal waters.

2. To defend Nigerians from possible enemies in the waters.

3. To negotiate from the position of strength when necessary.

4. To play its diplomatic and policing roles when needed.

5. To train a new generation who wishes to join the Nigerian Navy.
