  2. Explain different types of Evolution
  3. Discuss structural adaptations and give examples

CONTENT

Evolution, theory in biology postulating that the various types of plants, animals, and other living things on Earth have their origin in other preexisting types and that the distinguishable differences are due to modifications in successive generations. The theory of evolution is one of the fundamental keystones of modern biological theory.

Structural and Behavioral Adaptations

All organisms have adaptations that help them survive and thrive. Some adaptations are structural. Structural adaptations are physical features of an organism like the bill on a bird or the fur on a bear. Other adaptations are behavioural. Behavioural adaptations are the things organisms do to survive. For example, bird calls and migration are behavioural adaptations.
