Occupation can be defined as any legal, economic and productive activities which people engage in to create and procure goods and services in order to make a living.

CLASSIFICATION OF OCCUPATION

Occupation can be classified into three main groups, namely

1. Industry 2. Commerce  3. Services

1. Industry Occupation

It involves those who engage in the physical production of goods or changing of raw materials into finished or semi-finished products.  Industry occupation is subdivided into three groups, which are Extraction, Manufacturing and Construction.
