Coal

Coal is a black organic rock formed from the vegetation of the carboniferous period. It is the result of the complex chemical and physical changes that took place when remains of forest big trees and vegetation were buried under the ground millions of years ago, under great temperature and pressure in the absence of air. It is a very impure carbon containing minerals and modified remains of substances present in ancient trees and other plant life.
