Trioxocarbonate (iv) are salts from trioxocarbonate (iv) acids when it reacts with metals and metallic oxides.

All trioxocarbonate (iv) salts of sodium (Na), potassium (K), and ammonium (NH₄⁺) are soluble while others are insoluble.

Preparation of soluble trioxocarbonate (IV) salt:

The water soluble trioxocarbonate (IV) salts are sodium, potassium, and ammonium trioxocarbonate (IV). They are generally made by passing carbon (IV) oxide via a solution of corresponding alkali.
