Gear ratio and speed rotation

Gear ratio

This is defined as the ratio of the number of teeth on the driver gear to that on the driven gear.

T1 is the number of teeth on the driver gear

T2 is the number of teeth on the driven gear

 

Speed ratio

This is defined as the ratio of the speed of the driven gear to the speed of the driver gear.
