Issues and challenges in physical and health education
Physical and education are a subject that provides knowledge that is needed to dependently achieve a level of developing and maintain physical, mental, social and emotional health. This subject plays an important role in the physical growth and development of students.
Issues and challenges in physical education
1. Use of over-aged players
2. Match-fixing: The action or practise of dishonestly determining the outcome of a match before it is played.
3. Doping: Doping refers to the use of banned substances in competitive sports.
4. Corrupt referees
5. Racism
5. Use of hard drugs etc.
Issues and challenges in health education
1. Human trafficking
2. Prostitution
3. Child/wife battery

Sports laws
Sports laws is an amalgam law used to describe the legal issues that apply to athletes and the sport they play which includes amateur and professional sports. Issues like defamation and privacy right are also an integral aspect of sports law. The terms used in sports laws are:
1. Tort: This is a wrongful act, whether intentional or negligence, which causes an injury and can be remedied in civil court.
2. Negligence: This is careless conduct that leads to damage such as accidents, injuries, or death to another person in the field of sports. Negligence can be charged in the following situations;
a. Lack of spotters
b. Faulty equipment and facilities
3. Assault: This is as a result of an unjustifiable and intentional attack against another person to cause injury, improper conduct or verbal attack.
