CONTENT

Definition of Rights

Rights are fundamental rules that govern the life of an individual. Rights are naturally free to all human beings regardless of whether male or female, nationality or language. 

Rights of citizens in Nigeria

  1. Right to life
  2. Right to freedom of speech
  3. Right to a fair and public trial.
  4. The right to vote and be voted for.
  5. Right to freedom of worship.
  6. Right to education.
  7. Right to private life.
  8. Right to freedom of movement.

Duty is defined as the responsibility of the person to others and the nation he or she lives in.

Duties of a person to the nation

  1. Support and defend the Constitution.
  2. Participate in the democratic process.
  3. Participate in community services.
  4. Respect and obey federal and local laws.
  5. Respect the right and beliefs of others.

Step 4: Teacher welcomes pupil's questions.
