recognise the meaning of decimals identify the place value of decimals write decimals in words and figures compare and order decimals

convert decimals to fractions and vice versa find the fraction of quantities.

CONTENT

Meaning of decimals (Revision)

A decimal fraction is a number that has two parts, a whole number and a fraction. The two parts are separated by a point known as the decimal point, for example, 73.251. The digits before the point represent whole numbers. The digits after the point represent fractions. Both parts make up a decimal fraction
