Cotton	1. For making clothes 2. For making cotton oil
Cocoa	1. Used for making beverages 2. Used for making creams
Ginger, onion, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves etc	1. Used for making food seasonings 2. Used for medicinal purposes
Maize, millet, guinea corn, wheat, sorghum etc	1.Used for making food like custard 2.Used for feeding livestock
Cassava	1.Used for making food like garri, fufu etc 2. Used for making industrial starch
Orange, pineapple, lemon, banana, mango etc	Used for making juice
Fluted pumpkin, tomato, okro, green etc	Used as vegetables for food

General Uses of  Crops

Generally, crops are used for the following:

1. Crops serve as food for man. Food is very important for human survival, therefore, crops like cassava, rice, yam, onion, tomato, maize etc are very important.

2. Some crops can be used to feed farm animals e.g maize and sorghum are very important in feeding poultry while cassava tubers and yam peelings are good feeds for pigs and goats.

3. Crops can be used to make clothes, bags, shoes and sandal. Examples are cotton and rubber.

4. Crops can be used for controlling erosion. Examples are water melon, melon, bean, etc

5. Crops can be used for the production of drugs/medicines.

6. Some crop products like timber are used for making furniture and also used for the construction of houses.

7. Some crops are used for beautifying and decorating or homes and surrounding. Examples are hibiscus, Ixora etc

8. Crops serve as fuel and manure when they did. When crops are harvested the remaining will be used as firewood for cooking and as manure.
