Students should be able to;

  1. Launder fabric from the different classes of textiles e. g natural and synthetic textiles.

CONTENT

Different fabric fibres have different characteristics and different laundry requirements. Find out below which laundry detergent and laundry beach are suitable, as well as the best temperature to use when ironing.

  1. Cotton

One of the most common and durable fibres around, cotton is absorbent and strong. However, you might want to size up when fitting as all cotton clothes usually shrink by 5–10% during their first wash.
