3/14+5/14

LCM =14

                    3+5

                    14

=8/14.

Example 2.2/3+1/8+3/4.

LCM of 3,8,4 is 24.

                  8x2+3x1+6x3

                         24

16+3+18

  24

=37/24

=1 16/24.

Example 3: 10 3/6+12 1/8.

(10+12)+3/6+1/8

(22)+       4x3+3x1

                 24

22 +12+3

         24

=22 15/24.

OR.

Change all fractions to improper fractions.

10 3/6=63/6

12 1/8=97/8

63/6+97/8

LCM =24

4x63+3x97
