Water
Water is a chemical substance composed of hydrogen and oxygen existing in gaseous, liquid, and solid tastes that is essential to all known forms of life. Water is a clear, colorless, odorless, tasteless liquid that freezes into ice below 0 degrees centigrade and boils above 100 degrees centigrade.
The chemical formula of water is hydrogen oxide (H2O) and it has the important ability to dissolve many other substances. Indeed, the versatility of water as a solvent is essential to living organisms.
