Difference between the three tiers of government
Both the federal and state governments have executive, legislative and judicial powers, except local government whose judicial power rests on both the federal and state judiciaries.
The Executive arm of government:
The federal executive comprises the president and his cabinet, and that includes ministers, special advisers and head of government parastatals.
The state executive comprises of governors, his commissioners and head of state government parastatals.
