CABLES AND CONNECTORS
Networking Cable is used to connect and transfer data between computers and a network. There are different types of network cables, and the appropriate type to use will depend on the structure and topology of your network. The most commonly used types of network cable are;
- Twisted Pair
- Coaxial Cable
- Optical fibre cable
- Telephone cables
TWISTED PAIR: Twisted pair cabling is a type of wiring in which two conductors (the forward and the return conductor of a single circuit are twisted together for the purposes of cancelling out electromagnetic interference (EMI) from external sources. Twisted pair cables were invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1881.
The twisted pair cables are mainly used for Ethernet networks and telephone lines.
