Electoral Commission

This is a body responsible for organising and conducting an election in a political system. It can also be seen as an independent and impartial body responsible for conducting and organizing all election in a given country.

Functions of Electoral Commission

1. Registration of parties

2. Registration of voters

3. Provision of electoral materials

4. Financial grants to parties

5. Informs the people type of voting to be conducted.

6. Screening of candidates

7. Provides adequate security at the polling stations
