CONTENT
The ecological definition of tolerance refers to the niche breadth, or the range of conditions that an organism can withstand. the ability of an organism to survive when subjected to abiotic factors or biotic factors is called tolerance.
Organisms can survive only within certain maximum and minimum limits concerning each environmental factor such as water, light and temperature.
