If events A and B are independent, the probability of A and B happening denoted by Pr(A∩B), is the product of their individual probabilities. i.e.
Pr(A∩B)=Pr(A) × Pr(B)
In general, If A, B, C, D,… are independent, the probability of A and B and C and D and … happening is the product of their individual probabilities. I.e.
