  2. Name domestic and industrial waste that pollute land and water
  3. Identify the decay of organic matter (e.g dead animals and plants)  as a source of pollution.

Water covers over 70% of the earth’s surface. It is also the most basic requirement for survival. It also supports aquatic life and other ecosystems.

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies such as oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, groundwater, and aquifers by pollutants.
