Calculation of gravitational force
The gravitational force of gravity is the force with which the earth attracts objects towards its Centre. The unit of force is Newton (the symbol is N).
The following formulae are used for the calculation of gravitational force.
Gravitational force (f) = mass × acceleration due to gravity
GF = m × g
Example: Calculate the gravitational force required to pull down a mango fruit of 10kg falling with acceleration of 5m/s2
Solution:
F = m × g where F is unknown,
mass = 10kg.... View More
