Types of Warehouses

Warehouses may be classified into four main types according to ownership and use as shown below.

1. Manufacturer's warehouse: This is a warehouse owned by the manufacturer. It is designed and equipped for storing his product alone. It is usually located at or near the place of production or regional distribution centres.
