A. Healing miracle of peter
Peter and John went up together into the temple at the prayer hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
A certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple. He saw Peter and John coming and asks alms of them and Peter’s eyes fastened upon him and said look on us, and he gave heed onto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said silver and gold I have none; but what I have I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
He leapt and stood up and walked then entered into the temple walking and leaping and praising God.
B. Raising of Dorcas from the dead Act9:36-42
At Joppa, there was a disciple named Tabitha. Her name means Dorcas or Gazelle. This woman was full of good works and constant acts of mercy. She fell sick in those days, and died; her caretakers washed her and laid her in an upper room. The disciples at Joppa heard that Peter was nearby at Lydda, so they sent two men to peter, imploring him to come to them without delay. Peter got up and went with them. On reaching Joppa, they brought peter into the upper room, all the widows stood by weeping. They showed Peter the coat and garments that Dorcas had made while she was them alive.
Peter asked everyone to leave the room. He knelt down and prayed. Then he turned to the body and said, ‘Tabitha, arise!’ then Tabitha opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. He offered her his hand, and lifted her up…., then he called the holy ones and widows and presented Tabitha alive. This miracle became known throughout all Joppa and many believed in the lord and peter stayed more days as a guest of Simon in Joppa.
