Social vices are defined as the negative tendencies, habits, and practices carried out by citizens of a community.

These vices work against the peace and progress of such community, some of these social vices ranged from oppression, corruption, cheating drunkenness, injustice, greed, bribery, adultery, drug-abuse, stealing, immorality, and the latest called suicide bombing and brutality that become serious security challenges in Nigeria.

Witnessing to Christ

A witness in a courtroom tells what he or she knows about a given situation. The Christian witness tells others what he or she knows about Jesus Christ and what it means to personally trust Him with his or her life.

Therefore, to witness means to profess Christ and to proclaim him

Tolerance and peaceful co-existence

Tolerance can be defined as a fair and objective attitude towards those whose lifestyle differs from yours.

Peaceful co-existence means living together peacefully in one house, compound, village, town, state, or in a country. 

Importance of peaceful co-existence

1. Economic sustainability: Economic growth based on efficient use of resources,

2. Good governance: Developing and strengthening good governance at all levels.

3. Existence of political stability.

4. It leads to the growth and development of the society.

Moral lesson

As a witness for Christ, our life is a key part of our witness. We are a new creation; the way our new faith shows itself in our conduct is the greatest testimony we have. This means our habits and lifestyle should reflect a life given over to Jesus Christ. It does not mean that we must be perfect before we can be a witness. We all stumble from time to time as we are learning to walk, but we have learned, God is willing to forgive our sins and put us back on our feet again.
