Smartphones

A smartphone is a cell phone that allows you to do more than make phone calls and send text messages. Smartphones can browse the Internet and run software programs like a computer. Smartphones use a touch screen to allow users to interact with them.

Parts of a smartphone

The following are parts of a smartphone

1. Battery.

2. Speaker and mic.

3. Signal Processor.

4. Onboard Processor (CPU)

5. RAM & ROM.

6. ADC - DAC Converter.

7. Camera and WiFi circuit.

Uses of a smartphone

Its uses include:

1. Sending and receiving emails, text, photographs and multimedia messages.

2. Registering contacts.

3. Calculator, currency, alarm, etc. functions.

4. Browsing the Internet using a mobile browser.

5. Playing games.

6. Video chat.

7. Point of sale terminal when paying for goods or services.
