Motherboard: The motherboard is the core of the system. It is the PC; everything else is connected to it, and it controls everything in the system.
The motherboard is located right inside the big circuit board you see everything hooked up to the when you open the case is the motherboard.
What is it used for?” Primarily it behaves like the “spinal cord” of your computer.
