Constitutional democracy is the type of democracy whereby powers of the majority are exercised within a framework of constitutional design to guarantee the majority, the enjoyment of certain individual or collective rights. This means that the democratic principles are enhanced in the constitution of the land. In this type of democracy, how the people are to be governed is enshrined in the constitution of the country.
