Meaning of Security and Education

Security can be defined as the condition of not being threatened, especially physically, psychologically, emotionally, or financially.

Education can be defined as the process or art of imparting knowledge, skill and judgment. It is also the facts, skills and ideas that have been learned, either formally or informally.

Therefore, security education is the process of exposing the learner to the knowledge, values, skills and experiences included in the concepts of security which are necessary for citizens to achieve comprehensive national security.
