Performance Objectives

The student should be able to:

1. Describe the processes of becoming a citizen of a country.

2. Explain the meaning of an alien or a foreigner.

Process of becoming a citizen of a country.

1. Eligibility: The first thing to do is see if you meet the basic qualifications for citizenship, like by registration by birth, naturalization, etc.

2. Obtain an application form showing interest to become a citizen.

3. Pass the Citizenship Test and Interview.

Meaning of Alien

An alien is someone who is not a legal citizen of the country in which they live. Such a person only lives in that country with a visa or other permit. An alien is also called a foreigner.
