Content
A. Boxing and basic techniques
Boxing is a combat sport in which two people usually wear protective gloves, throwing punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring.

Basic techniques in boxing are:
1. You need good boxing stance; this provides balance for both the attack and defending boxer.
2. You learn the rules of boxing footwork.
3. You must have good punching skills.
4. You need to be fit for combat.
B. Safety rules and regulations in officiating boxing
1. You cannot hit below the belt, hold, trip, kick, head butt, wrestle, bite, spit on, or push your opponent.
2. You cannot hit with your head, shoulder, forearm, or elbow.
3. You cannot hit with an open glove, the inside of the glove, the wrist, the backhand, or the side of the hand.
4. You cannot spit out your mouthpiece intentionally to get rest.
5. You cannot throw a punch while holding on to the ropes to gain leverage.
6. You can't hold your opponent and hit him at the same time, or duck so low that your head is below your opponent's beltline.
