Meaning of drugs and common drugs
A drug was defined as a substance that is taken into the body or applied to the body to cure diseases and illnesses. Some of the drugs that many of us usually take are paracetamol, multivitamins, aspirin, chloroquine, cough syrups, iodine and methylated spirit.
Many of us also take drugs that are prepared from herbs and plants. Some of these drugs are made from lemon grass, lime, mango, guava and pawpaw leaves, as well as the leaves, barks and roots of other plants.
