CONTENT
The idea of ratio, the relationship between ratio and fractions, and equivalent ratio Two quantities can be compared by finding the relationship of the first to the second. This relationship is called ratio.
1. Jumai and Nene share 12 sweets. Nene takes 2 for every 1 Jumai takes. They share in the ratio Jumai: Nene = 1: 2 or Nene: Jumai = 2: 1.
Ratios can be written in three ways 1: 2 2: 1 or 12 2. Check 4 + 8 = 12
Ratios are written as fractions and simplified in the same way.
Thus, 4 : 8 = 1 : 2 because 4/8=1/2
