Performance Objectives

Students should be able to;

  1. Draw the graphs of quadratic equations with given roots.

2. Read the minimum and maximum values.

  1. Obtain the roots of the equations from quadratic equations

Plotting graph in which one is a quadratic function and one is a linear function

Content

Any equation whose highest power of the unknown is 1 is a linear equation. To draw the graph of a linear equation, we need to

  1. Make a table of value for the equation
  2. Plot the graph of the linear equation

Example:

Draw the graph of y = x − 1

Solution:

y = x − 1
