WEEK 2&3TOPIC: SOIL FORMATIONOBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: Describe how the action of wind helps in soil formation. Describe each of these activities. Name four activities of man that help in soil formation. Name six agents of soil formation.
WEEK 4Processes of Soil FormationSoil formation occurs more quickly through the action of water, wind, man and animals.
WEEK 5&6TOPIC: CLASSIFICATION OF CROPS AND THEIR USESOBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: Name three ways by which we can classify crops What are perennial crops? Give examples Classify these crops according to their forms: maize, beans, water-leaf, soya beans, cassava, pepper and cocoa.
WEEK 6Classification according to LifespanCrops can be grouped according to their life span as follows: annuals, biennials and perennials.
WEEK 7&8Classification According to Uses and TypesThere are many classes of crops depending on their types and uses. These are cereals, legumes, tubers, vegetables, fruits, beverages, oils, drugs, spices, latex and sugar crops.
WEEK 9TOPIC: CLASSIFICATION OF ANIMALS (LIVESTOCK)OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: Name five farm animal State the product obtained from farm animals Give examples of ruminant animals Give examples of non-ruminant animals Name animals used as beasts of burden.
WEEK 10Classification of farm animals based on the mode of breedingBreeding is the way farm animals produce their young ones. Some animals produce their young ones alive and in their own shape and form.
WEEK 11Classification based on where they liveThe habitat of an animal is its natural home. Most farm animals live on land. They feed and breed there.
WEEK 12Classification based on UsesMilk (Diary) producersThese are animals that produce milk. An example is cattle. Some animals supply us with milk.
