Halogens   as   element

The elements fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine make up a family known as Halogens.

Halogens occupy group7 in the periodic table. They are also known as salt formers. Each halogen atom has seven valence electrons, and this accounts for their similarities in their chemical properties.
