Definition of rule of law

Rule of Law is defined as the supremacy of the law over every citizen in a political system.

Principles of rule of law are; the principle of fair hearing, right to appeal, the principle of impartiality, equality before the law, the principle of supremacy before the law.

The concept of the rule of law was developed by Professor Dicey and he believes those entrusted with the administration of a country should rule in accordance with established law of the land.
