Meaning of impersonation

Impersonation is the act of pretending to be another person for the purpose of entertainment or fraud.

Also, refer to as intentionally pretending to be someone else for the purpose of fraudulent activities.  

Example of impersonation is using someone else’s identity card as one’s own to fill a form or benefit from a program.
