Angles.

Performance Objectives:

Students should be able to

1. Measure angles.

2. Identify vertically opposite, adjacent and alternative angles.

3. State the properties of angles.

4. Identify angles at a point and angles on straight lines and state their properties.

Content.

Angle is the amount of distance between the directions of two lines or surfaces where they meet.

The point where the lines meet is called the vertex.

CLASSIFICATION.

Angles are classified according to their sizes as follows:

1. Acute: an angle that is less than 90°.

2. Right angle: An angle that is equal to 90°.
