Purpose of the establishment of National Institutions

1. National youth service corps (NYSC): NYSC was set up in 1973 by general Yakubu Gowon. The objectives include promoting common friendship among our youths and promoting national unity.

2. Unity Schools: The establishment of unity schools, federal universities and polytechnics have allowed young Nigerian to mix freely as the study together in schools.
