Content

The meaning of family

Family is a group of people closely related by blood, marriage ties and adoption.

The family is the smallest social unit, which consists of parents and their children.

Types of family

The nuclear family

This is a family unit that includes two married parents of opposite genders and their biological or adopted children living in the same home.

It consists of parents and their children, for example, Father, Mother and children.

The extended family:

This type of family extends beyond the nuclear family consisting of parents, children and other relations living in the same house. For example; father, Mother, Children, aunts, cousins, uncle, grandparents, nephews and nieces.
