Purpose of marriage

1. Procreation:  This is the act of having children in marriage.

2. Companionship: This occurs in a marriage when husband and wife practice oneness, “my spouse is my best friend and we are one.”

3. Unity: Marriage also helps to unite families from different states and background.

4. Protection:  A husband is to protect his family and the same as the wife to protect her husband’s interest and their children.
