Explanation of the consequences of drug trafficking

1. Bad image for the country: Countries identified with high rates of trafficker are usually avoided by other countries.

2. Imprisonment: when drug traffickers are caught they are often sentenced to long periods of imprisonment.

3. Negative impacts of the economy: Countries with high rates of drug crimes will lack growth and development as they will be avoided by foreign investors.

4. Death: it also leads to an untimely death, due to swallowing of harmful drug quantities. While in some countries they are sentenced to death for their offence.

5. Affects national security: Drug trafficking destroys the youths of a nation because it distracts them from pursuing a useful career which increases the crime rate.
