1. Public enlightenment through the use of local languages: The media such as radio, television and newspaper could be used to educate the masses in their indigenous language the effect of the practices for better understanding.
2. Consultation with traditional institutions by government health officials: Government health officials must work closely with traditional institutions to combat harmful practices.
