Anyone who wishes to serve God must be ready to do the following:

1. Submit to those in authority.

2. Be patient.

3. Remember that God is the only one who can reward those who serve him.

4. Live a righteous life and be faithful in the service of God.

5. Be able to endure suffering, especially when you are suffering for the right things. Joseph was an example.
