Boring Insect Pests

These are insect pests which bore into plant tissues and stored seeds thereby reducing their quality and rendering them useless. These insects also bore into woods and they can be very a serious problem on the farm. Examples of these insects are stem borers of cereals and weevils of rice, maize and beans.
