Students should be able to:
- State the meaning of livestock management.
- State the requirement for good livestock management.
- Explain the importance of these management practices in livestock.
- Keep farm animals and take care of them at least one ruminant and one non-ruminant.
They are mono-gastric animals which belong to the family of Leporidae. They have a simple stomach like that of pigs. The meat is very nutritious and low in cholesterol. It is a suitable alternative to poultry meat. It is better than poultry meat.
